Maximilian Lerch from BBV Systems presents the BBV-Multibond, an innovative staggered anchor for geotechnical engineering. In contrast to conventional strand anchors, the BBV-Multibond distributes the load over the entire grout body and thus increases the load-bearing capacity. This allows savings in anchors, drilling meters and costs. The Multibond is also sustainable as it reduces resource consumption. BBV Systems strives to make geotechnical engineering more sustainable through targeted innovations.

In the second episode of the geotechnical engineering video series, we talk about the environmentally friendly solution of completely degradable anchor systems. These strand anchors can transfer loads into the ground and can subsequently be removed without damaging the structure. Deconstruction is done by removing the tendon, leaving the cement block in the ground. The advantages are environmental friendliness, the ability to reuse anchor plates and perforated disks, safe controlled removal and reduced costs. BBV Systems has developed a special system that speeds up dismantling and avoids damage.

In the third episode, Maximilian Lerch explains the advantages of monitoring and sensor solutions. These enable early detection of changes in the subsoil and foundation structures in order to prevent damage and implement cost-effective remediation measures. The Groningen railroad station is used as an example to show how sensors are used to manage risks on difficult foundation soil. The measurement data is used to forecast the service life of the structure. Monitoring solutions offer planning reliability and cost control over the entire service life.
