Golden Ears Brücke

Short description

The Golden Ears Bridge is a newly built 6-lane cable-stayed bridge over the Fraser River and connects the districts of Langley and Surrey in the south with Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadow in the north of Vancouver, British Colombia.

The project

The project volume amounts to approx. CDN $ 760 million. BBV Systems Co. Ltd. Bangkok supplied prefabricated reinforcement cages for driven and bored piles, as well as reinforcement for piers and superstructures.

The "Twin-Shell Coupler", a patented half-shell connecting sleeve, was specially developed to take manufacturing and installation tolerances into account. It also enabled the foundation work to be accelerated.
