The Golden Ears bridge is a recently constructed 6-lane cable-stayed bridge over Fraser river which connects the city districts of Langley and Surrey in the south to Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadow in the north of Vancouver, British Columbia.
The project volume amounts to approx. CAD 760 million. BBV Systems Co. Ltd. Bangkok supplied the pre-manufactured reinforcement baskets for bored and driven piles as well as the reinforcement for pillars and the superstructure.
The "Twin-shell coupler", a patented spherical shell coupler, was specially developed to take account of manufacturing and installation tolerances. It also accelerates foundation works.
